Being able to love others means being willing to take care of yourself first. 💕 Whether that means eating well, quitting an unhelpful habit, talking kindly towards yourself or moving your body… it’s all going to help the people in your life if you look after yourself too! ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Zoe is a total inspiration to us. Just recently we celebrated another PR – she quit vaping. Another amazing milestone in this woman’s life. Be encouraged by her story and give yourself a little love this Valentines Day! ⁣⁣⁣

My name is Zoe. I have been type 1 Diabetic since 2002. Health has always been on my mind but I didn’t always pay attention. I started smoking in my teens and didn’t take care of myself at all. Life threw some wicked curveballs at me and I never took the time to take care of myself. I always jumped in head first to help others when they needed it until I was empty. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
2016 I came across a documentary on Netflix. The 2015 CrossFit games. I didn’t know it at the time, but that movie changed my life. I came across CrossFit Morden on facebook and I signed up as soon as there was a spot available. I was terrified but so excited. I met Brooke and she instantly put me at ease. One 60 minute class, and I was hooked. ⁣⁣

Over the next 2 years everyone helped me face my demons, grow stronger and more confident. Life knocks you down and this family helps you back up. I quit smoking and went to vaping. I quit vaping all together. I learned how to push through fears and see my self worth. ⁣⁣

CrossFit is so much more than throwing around weights. It’s a lifestyle, a mindset, a community. When I have a bad day, or can’t get the negative thoughts out of my head I sweat it out. Some people go to therapy, I go to CrossFit!
