Josh loves spending time with family, friends and most importantly his dog. He grew up snowmobiling and looks forward to every winter. Josh has always enjoyed being active in many competitive sports, competing in the 2005 Canada Summer Games was a highlight.

I’ve always been into fitness, but have always found cardio difficult to train. But now with CrossFit I actually find it fun, and not a chore.

CrossFit has not only been great for my fitness but mentally as well inside and outside of the gym. I’ve struggled with anxiety, and being part of this community of people, and learning to push myself has been a big part of me overcoming my anxiety.

  • Agatsu Kettlebell Level 1
  • First Aid/CPR Certified
Matt has an athletic background in hockey, biking and weight training. He enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, Zeuss.
“CrossFit has allowed me to explore my interests of strength and endurance training. I was drawn to the Olympic weightlifting and gymnastic components and saw it as an opportunity to learn a new skill. I was immediately hooked on the style of training CrossFit offered and the positive, high energy environment in the classes. The clients at the gym have become my second family and look forward to teaching them new skills and watching them grow.”

Kim has been married to her high school sweetheart James since 2001, mom to two great kids, Tristan and Tessa, and has been an Educational Assistant for five years. She enjoys spending time with others while having good conversations over a great cup of coffee.

“I’ve always loved fitness but didn’t make it a priority until my late 20’s after I found an amazing group fitness class in Winnipeg. After moving to Winkler, James and I found CrossFit in 2017 and haven’t turned back! I cannot imagine our lives without it.

I love the CrossFit community and culture. As soon as you walk in the doors you feel welcomed and encouraged. The incredible people are so supportive and help me achieve way more than I thought I could. It amazes me how each workout pushes me and is so much fun!

As a coach I am excited to support others on their journeys. I want help teach people functional movements that will help them in all areas of their lives. And to improve their fitness; be strong, healthy and happy.”

Lisa Hildebrand

  • CrossFit Morden’s Joy Girl
  • MomFit Coach (Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism)
  • CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1)
  • CrossFit Scaling Course
  • First Aid/CPR Certified

Lisa has been nursing for 6 years at Boundary Trails Health Center, where she has developed a love for the ER/ICU. She’s your average girl, didn’t grow up playing sports, and did the bare minimum physical requirements. In 2015, Lisa and her husband Josh started working out in Joel and Brooke’s garage, where they immediately knew this was something they were going to love. It went beyond fitness and developed into a family of like-minded people.

Lisa is soon to be a first-time mom. She’s able to give great insight into fitness and pregnancy with her first-hand experience and has developed a passion for women’s health. Lisa is currently enrolled in Brianna Battles Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism course.

“I love this community! It has changed my life, and my family’s. It is my happy place. I think my favourite part about it is that it’s something Josh and I can do together, and in many ways, it has brought us closer together. I’ve really never been much of a fitness girl, so If I can do it so can you!”

CrossFit became a passion of Colin’s after his very first workout left him gasping for air.

He enjoys mountain biking, flying, running, climbing, dirt biking, and almost every other sport. Colin has found CrossFit to be the best way that he could stay active and train for so many different types of activities.

“CrossFit has not only made me a much healthier person physically, it has really helped me to become much stronger mentally. It has helped me to seek out challenges and push my own limits.

The CrossFit community has become my second family. I love these people. The relationships that have developed are all amazing… I’m really excited for our CrossFit community to grow!”

Guiding Principles for Each Class We Coach:

Virtuosity

This means doing the common uncommonly well. This applies to our coaching and athletic philosophy. Basics are taught and practiced well and thoroughly before moving into advanced technique or skills.

Community & Fun

The community is what differentiates CrossFit from other fitness programs. It’s the group of friends getting through that workout together, the high fives afterwards, and the friendships that follow that make CrossFit so much more than a gym.

Accountability

We hold each other to a high level of accountability – from coaching, to range of motion in our athletes, to counting reps. We walk the talk and in so doing, encourage our athletes to do the same.

Integrity

Integrity is what you do when no one is watching. It’s doing the right thing, even if it’s more difficult, even if it takes longer, even if you have to stay late. We strive to foster this in our coaches and athletes.
